About NORAM – Our Business Philosophy and Valued Associates

NORAM’s MISSION is to assist in every way possible the success that church musicians experience with the instruments we provide.  Our goal is Worship Enhancement  through music led by the organ.

NORAM Associates is the exclusive Rodgers Instrument dealer in Arizona; West Texas which includes El Paso and the Big Bend area and the counties in Southwestern New Mexico which  include the cities of Lordsburg, Deming, Las Cruces, Truth or Consequences, Silver City, Alamogordo, Ruidoso, and Socorro.

NORAM’s Basic Beliefs and Operating Credo include the following tenets borrowed from IBM and the Rotary International Four-Way Test.

Our success is due largely to the dedicated team of Associates with whom we work:

JANET HUME, Executive Assistant is the first voice you hear when you call.  It is she who keeps the operation glued together!  She is an outstanding church musician, Elder in her church and valued assistant since 1985.  It was she who alerted NORAM’s Founder that Rodgers Instruments was about to appoint a new dealer in Arizona.  She is very much responsible for the fine reputation which NORAM enjoys in this territory.

ROB WHITEAKER, Founder has been the Business Principal for the organization since it received the Rodgers Dealership assignment.  He brings strong business and community leadership experience to the group.  He served IBM in various sales management positions before leaving the company in 1970 to move to Phoenix.  He is actively involved in his church where he once served as Director of Church Programs.  He has provided leadership as Board Chairman of Baptist Hospitals and Health Systems, Phoenix Baptist Hospital,and Grand Canyon University.  He served Rotary International as District Governor for the Northwest part of Arizona and in various other leadership positions.  He has received The Service Above Self Award, Rotary’s highest award given to a Rotarian.

MARK VANDAALEN, Our newest Associate comes from a family of distinguished pipe organ builders and the builder of NORAM’s three most recent combination pipe/digital instruments.  He is CEO and will be concentrating his efforts in sales, installation, voicing and quality control. Mark holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in science with an emphasis in fluvial mechanics.  Prior to his arrival at NORAM he worked as an Acoustical Engineer for a Minneapolis based company.

SKIP PEPERS is owner of Skip’s Organ Repair and is NORAM’s Chief Technician.  He is a Rodgers Certified Technician who is fully qualified to do Warranty repairs and installations.

ED WOLFE is Director of Education for NORAM.  Ed has been an organ enthusiast all of his life, receiving early keyboard and organ training while living in Nebraska.  He has served several churches as organist since moving to Arizona in 1971.  In his role as Director of Education, Ed assists organists who play Rodgers organs to become better acquainted with their instrument and thus more successful and competent as a church organist or for their own pleasure.  He is a specialist in MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) uses for the church organist. 

BRUCE NEHRING serves as NORAM’s sales consultant in New Mexico and Texas.  He is a consummate musician, director and organist who becomes greatly involved in the specifications for custom organs.  He is Founder and Artistic Director of the Bruce Nehring Consort - El Paso’s Professional Singers and Chamber Players that perform and tour internationally.
